The University of Arizona is running a weekly Outreach Project at the Quincey Douglas Library in Tucson, Arizona. This project has two goals:

  1. Developing the thinking abilities of students, with a focus on mathematical inquiry abilities
  2. Developing in students an interest in mathematics

This page will be updated with materials we use with students during the project. Since the primary age group of the students will be 9-12 years of age, the focus of mathematical inquiry will be pattern finding, conjecturing, defining, and classifying, with minimal emphasis on proofs.
